Bullfinch and Honey Suckle

Wild Hyacinth in flower

We spent sometime working on fences and I discovered honeysuckle. I love how it wraps itself around it's support plants      and creates a garland.

A male Bullfinch, I was inspecting  my garden along the house. I  removed builders rubble last year, pulled up nettles and brambles. I found this handsome creature on the ground and to protect him from my cat I picked him up. They eat fruit buds so technically a pest, very striking and we don't have many. This evening we had our first fly by swallow, very early. Last year it was the 1st April.
