We bought this VW last year it wasn't new,10 years old but it's new compared with any other thing I've had. (my car is 1963!!) I went to the UK and drove it back from the UK. It has a lovely big diesel engine and quite economical. This month we took it to the Vecours Massif here in France and then down to the Hautes-Alps.

The Vercors Massif is a limestone plateau of huge proportions. Undeveloped with ridges and valleys, the likes of which I had no idea.

Solutré. This was a place George wanted to visit as part of his research and book writing. It has a museum
dedicated to Prehistorical man.

A nice little Chateau!!

Solutré from the museum gardens. I have lots more images to share. We visited so many lovely old villages and drove along so many twisty roads.

  1. I love this, we took our VW camper round parts of France a few years ago. Since then we got a new van but it has been off the road for a couple of years, must get it going and do some more travelling!!!
